Learn Claude Code by building something
Claude Code is an assistant that works inside your project: it reads your files, proposes changes, and waits for you to approve them. This course takes you from nothing installed to one small finished site, one reviewable step at a time.
No programming background needed — module 0 covers the vocabulary. A willingness to read a diff helps. You do need a Claude account that includes Claude Code; the course is free, the tool is not.
The desktop app
Everything happens in a window: file previews, colour-coded diffs, permission prompts you click. The recommended way in if you have never used a terminal.
The terminal
One session, plain diffs, a keystroke to approve. On Windows this track assumes Git Bash or WSL, not native PowerShell — module 1 says why.
Same project either way
Both tracks build the same blog and reach the same checkpoints, so you can switch between them at any module boundary without losing your place. Only two of the nineteen modules are for one track alone, and those two say so in the list.
